Day 6

7th July

Missing Kerala already
We wouldn't have left Kerala if Kodaikanal wouldn't have been in Tamil Nadu. The shitty transport facilities in Tamil Nadu, the filthy typical Indian towns of Tamil Nadu(unlike more planned Kerala towns) and the humid weather made us miss Green, serene Kerala

After waiting uselessly for the Kodaikanal bus at Theni bus stand (Tamil nadu Road transport is far shitty compared to that of Kerala or Karnataka) until 7 AM in the morning, we decided to reach a place called Batlagund from where we could expect to get bus for Kodaikanal(perched at an altitude of 2100 m).
Finally at around 10 AM in the morning we reached Kodaikanal. But found it more congested, populated, polluted compared to the virgin Munnar and got heavily disappointed.

Tour & Travels
So we got seats for ourselves in tourist bus that would show us  all the places during the day with planning to leave Kodaikanal by evening.

Cycling around Kodai Lake
Kodai Lake
After the bus tour, we hired cycle at the Kodai lake and instead of using it to ride it around the lake, we took it to go to the Silver cascade falls (8 kms downhill from the Kodaikanal city).

It was a big mistake which we didn't realise while going down. (Infact we were enjoying the downhill cycle riding because we didn't have to paddle even once throughout the 8 kms). Only when we decided to turn back and move uphill, we realised the gravity of situation. It was an immensely herculean task for lean/ stamina less people like me.

After dragging the cycle for what seemed like eternity(8 kms) against the earth's garvity to an altitude of 2100m , we were finally able to reach the Kodai lake.

Journey ahead
Soon after we got into the last bus for Pollachi, with dinner enroute at Palani. From pollachi we got a bus for Valparai and changed the bus for Malkaparai. Thus we enetered into Kerala once again.
