Prologue
At VISL Bhadravati
During the penultimate week at internship (PS1 at SAIL Bhadravati, Karnataka), our instructor informed us about his own marriage(poor fellow!!!) and his plan of taking leave for 12 days. What more we could have expected from him!!! His absence meant that we could finally undertake our Jumbo Kerala trip. Eversince I had seen Mani Ratnam's film Raavan , I had fallen in love with the locations in the movie and had pledged to use my 2 months stay in South India to visit all those places with my friends in a backpacker style.

Preparation for the Trip and the UNCERTAINTIES
I had already surfed and exhausted all my sources of info on internet for Kerala trip planning, and my mind was getting overloaded with information. Finally, after much preparation/paperwork (thanks to my room-mate's net-connect) and clearing a lot of other hurdles (which one faces at a formal setup like PS), the 4 of us decided to leave for our jumbo trip.

Till the last moment, I, my roomy Apurv(from BITS Goa) and the 2 other fellows Aayush & Bisen(from BITS Pilani itself) were not sure if we'll be actually able to get out of Bhadravati and commence the trip. After going on 5 trips in the past 5 weeks, my fever was running high.  Apurv's PS1 project (Mech deptt) depended entirely on him and leaving for the trip came at the cost of leaving his project in between.  Poor fellow Aayush developed a kidney problem (stones) in Bhadravati, and so on.

Nevertheless we had our backpacks readied.  Despite of heavy odds we were hopeful and nothing could dampen our spirit and passion for travelling.
